The Nigerian Association of Merrimack Valley (NAMV) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit Organization, dedicated to promoting Nigerian culture and strengthening community ties among Nigerians and friends of Nigeria in the Merrimack Valley (Lowell, MA, and surroundings). Our mission is to preserve Nigerian traditions, values, and heritage for current and future generations while supporting our community members. NAMV serves as a cultural bridge: we celebrate festivals, food, music, dance, and storytelling from Nigeria, connecting generations and fostering unity among families in Lowell and beyond.

Our Vision

We Are One Nigeria

Be part of a growing cultural movement.

The story of the Nigerian Association of Merrimack Valley began in the spring of 2000, when a group of Nigerians came together to organize the wedding ceremony of one of us. What initially started as a “Committee of Friends” soon evolved into something much greater, a vision for a permanent organization that would unite Nigerians and promote cultural connection within the Merrimack Valley...
